Cancer Surgery

Ross Memorial Hospital offers a range of surgical services to support the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Our skilled surgical team provides patient-centered care using safe, evidence-based practices, and works closely with specialists across the health system to facilitate coordinated treatment planning.

Surgical Sub-Specialties include:

Biopsy Procedures

Biopsies are an essential step in diagnosing cancer. Our surgeons perform tissue sampling procedures to help confirm or rule out cancer, guide treatment decisions, and support ongoing monitoring.

General Surgery

Our general surgeons provide care for a wide variety of cancers affecting the breast, bowel, skin, and other organs. Services include tumor removal, lymph node sampling, and cancer-related abdominal surgeries.

Gynecology/Obstetrics

Our Gynecology team provides compassionate, skilled care for people with cancers of the female reproductive system. We diagnose and treat conditions involving the uterus, cervix, ovaries, vagina, and vulva, always with a strong focus on safety, comfort, and continuity of care close to home.

Early detection is an important part of cancer care. We offer screening for multiple gynecologic cancers, including uterine, cervical, ovarian (adnexal), vaginal, and vulvar cancers.

To support accurate diagnosis, our team provides a range of tests and procedures, including:

These procedures help us understand what is happening and guide next steps in care.

Many early stage and low‑grade gynecologic cancers can be treated right here at RMH.

Patients with more complex or advanced gynecologic cancers are referred to specialized gynecologic oncology services. We work closely with these teams to coordinate smooth referrals and ongoing support.

Our goal is to provide timely, respectful care while keeping patients well‑informed and supported throughout their journey.

Urology

Our urology team offers surgical care for cancers of the urinary tract and male reproductive system, such as prostate, bladder, and kidney cancers. Procedures range from diagnostic biopsies to cancer-related surgeries.

Endoscopy

Endoscopic procedures help diagnose, assess, and sometimes treat cancer-related conditions.
