Patient Gifts
Many visitors like to bring small gifts when they visit someone in the hospital. Plants or flowers are the traditional gift, but things like books, magazines, crossword puzzles, books on tape, hand cream or framed photos are also popular gifts. Bringing a box of chocolates or other food is generally not a good idea, as patients are often on restricted diets as part of their care.
At Ross Memorial, latex balloons are banned because of the risk of latex allergies. As a result, please note that only mylar (foil) balloons are allowed to be delivered to patients. Visitors should check with their florist before ordering any balloons.
