Obstetrician/Gynecologists
Ross Memorial Hospital (RMH) is an 187-bed community hospital with a proud history extending back over a century. RMH is an active community hospital serving more than 80,000 local residents and 35,000 seasonal visitors. Our hospital is one of the largest employers in the region, with more than 950 staff members, 140 credentialed physicians, and close to 400 volunteers.
Together, the team provides compassionate, high quality patient care to more than 45,000 emergency patients and 6,000 inpatients each year. The hospital also has full accreditation with exemplary standing by Accreditation Canada.
RMH offers a wide variety of acute and continuing care services, including a 24/7/365 emergency department, obstetrics, orthopaedics and ophthalmology, outpatient dialysis, schedule 1 mental health program, restorative seniors care, rehabilitation and palliative care, a progressive health promotion program for chronic disease management, and a full range of diagnostic imaging, including MRI.
RMH is a Level 1b Hospital which has approximately 350 deliveries each year. Our Obstetrics Unit features six private labour, delivery and recovery suites. Our team of highly skilled Family Medicine Obstetricians and nursing staff are dedicated to exceptional care for women and babies. RMH is also home to one other Obstetrician/Gynecologist, as well as three midwives who have a professional and supportive relationship.
The opportunity exists to also establish a thriving Obstetrician/Gynecologist practice as it is much needed in the community. RMH provides resources for this position to have OR time for Gynecological procedures. OB call is one in four; the hospital sources locums to help provide 24/7/365 coverage. The hospital offers relocation support and other incentives.

Candidates must be certified or eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Obstetrics/Gynecology and hold, or be eligible for, licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

The closest neighbouring hospitals include Peterborough Regional Health Centre 45 minutes to the east, Haliburton Highlands Health Services one hour to the north and Lakeridge Health in Oshawa, one hour to the south. 7-Day Hospitalist Position
Ross Memorial Hospital is recruiting 7-day hospitalists. The hospitalist assumes the care of a mixture of acute and post-acute patients for a 7 day period. Minimal on call obligations are required.
Our hospital program is a mature program, with six hospitalists present daily with a dedicated nocturnist line. The hospitalist department is a supportive and collegial group pf physicians dedicated to high-quality patient care and ongoing quality improvement.
Payment is through a combination of Fee For Service (FFS) billings to the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP).
The successful candidate will be collegial, enthusiastic and have recent experience in the care of hospitalized inpatients. The Hospitalist may have Internal Medicine or Family Medicine training. The candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in teams, with physicians, nursing staff, patients, Directors and Managers. An unrestricted license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) is required.

Family Physician Obstetrician
We are seeking family physicians interested in low-risk obstetrics to join our collegial team. Call is one week at a time and shared with 4 other family physicians. Schedule can be flexible. Our group runs Kawartha Pregnancy and Newborn Care (https://sites.google.com/view/kawarthapnc), and provides shared care for prenatal patients, deliveries, and newborn care to 6 weeks of age. While on call, we also attend C-sections as baby doctor, and care for newborns delivered by patients of the obstetricians.
Our maternity floor assists with 250-300 deliveries per year, with plans to grow as the community grows. Our obstetrical team is comprised of family physicians, obstetricians, nursing staff, midwives, and anaesthetists providing 24-7 epidural coverage. Our team is consistently rated highly by patients on surveys of patient satisfaction.

Permanent General Adult Psychiatrist
Ross Memorial Hospital (RMH) is currently recruiting for a full time General Adult Psychiatrist position to join our Mental Health Program. Ross Memorial Hospital is a Schedule 1 Facility with a 15-bed acute Mental Health Unit.

Qualifications

Internal Medicine Specialist
Ross Memorial Hospital, serving a population of up to 80,000, is seeking a full-time internist with an interest and/or experience in ICU Medicine. We are looking for an internist for the community who will set up an office-based practice. You will also provide consultations to inpatients and to Emergency Department patients. On call duties include night coverage of an 8-bed ICU closed unit. Call is 1:10 or less, with HOCC stipends. You will join a collegial group and supportive environment.
