Complex Continuing Care

The Complex Continuing Care unit is a specialized patient care area within Ross Memorial Hospital. A patient will be admitted to this unit if their condition is not medically stable and/or requires ongoing skilled, technology-based care; for example, stage four ulcers, suctioning, transfusions, lung aspirations, tube feeding, tracheostomy care, ventilator, etc. Prior to being admitted to this unit, the patient's condition will be assessed by a doctor and based on that assessment, the doctor may recommend that they be transferred to this area within the Hospital.

The Complex Continuing Care Unit is on the forefront of a developing trend in health care. Recognizing the impact of the aging population, we have developed a specialization in Complex Care, maximizing health and physical ability in patients with complex chronic conditions.
