Ross Memorial Hospital Hosting Community Town Hall Tour Focused on Cancer Care Close to Home
October 13, 2026
(LINDSAY, ON) – Ross Memorial Hospital is inviting community members to attend a series of free town hall sessions dedicated to local cancer care and supportive services, as well as updates on the hospital’s master planning and major projects.
The Community Town Hall Tour will feature presentations from the Central East Regional Cancer Program, Community Care City of Kawartha Lakes, and Ross Memorial Hospital at all four events. Haliburton Highlands Health Services will also participate in the sessions in Coboconk and Fenelon Falls.
“These town halls are an opportunity for our community to learn about and help inform cancer care and supportive services available close to home, along with planning that will help shape the future of our hospital,” says Veronica Nelson, President and CEO of Ross Memorial Hospital. “We encourage residents to join us, ask questions, and learn more about the services and partnerships that support the health and well-being of people across our region.”
Each session will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m., with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. The schedule is as follows:
- Tuesday, October 20, at Coboconk Community Centre, 9 Grandy Road.
- Wednesday, October 21, at Pontypool Community Centre, 254 John Street.
- Tuesday, October 27, at Fenelon Falls Community Centre, 27 Veterans Way.
- Wednesday, October 28, at Ross Memorial Hospital, 10 Angeline Street North. This session will also be offered virtually via Zoom.
The Kawartha Lakes Haliburton Ontario Health Team and the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation will also have informational tables at the events.
For those unable to attend the Lindsay session in-person, a Zoom meeting link will be available through RMH.org and the hospital’s Facebook page approximately 48 hours before the event.
