RMH Hosting Series of Community Town Halls
April 15, 2026
(Lindsay, ON) – Ross Memorial Hospital is inviting community members to help shape the future of healthcare in Kawartha Lakes.
Ross Memorial Hospital (RMH) is hosting four Community Town Halls focused on Master Planning and what the future holds for our hospital and community. Whether it be physical infrastructure and the long-term space needs of the hospital, to clinical programs that will be needed over the next 10–20 years to serve our community – the Town Halls are an opportunity to be informed and contribute to our hospital’s pathway forward.
“Ross Memorial Hospital belongs to our community,” says Veronica Nelson, President and CEO of RMH, who will present at each of the Community Town Halls. “We are here because of—and for—the people of Kawartha Lakes and surrounding communities. Open communication, shared information, and community involvement are fundamental to building, maintaining, and adapting to meet the needs of our region. I look forward to welcoming our partners with me as we engage our community and work collaboratively to accomplish our hospital’s mission of delivering on the promise of a better healthcare experience.”
The Kawartha Lakes Health Care Initiative and Kawartha Lakes Haliburton Ontario Health Team will also be presenting at each of the Town Halls.
Additionally, each Town Hall will have a speaker from an organization with a specific impact in that particular community – the Summit Wellness Centre will present in Coboconk, Kawartha North Family Health Team in Bobcaygeon, City of Kawartha Lakes Family Health Team in Omemee, and Kawartha Lakes Paramedic Service in Lindsay.

- Bobcaygeon/Verulam Community Centre – Tuesday, April 28
